Named after Nanga Parbat, the 8,126-meter Himalayan peak known as the “Killer Mountain,” NANGA was launched as a brand in Maibara, Shiga Prefecture, in 1994. Inspired by a mountain renowned for its extreme difficulty and formidable reputation, the brand embodies the spirit of taking on the toughest challenges. It reflects the belief of second-generation president Akira Yokota: “Because it's difficult, that's exactly why we should take it on. Let's climb where no one else will.” Our predecessor was a futon manufacturer that supported the local industry for more than 50 years through the production of Omi silk floss futon. Carrying forward its craftsmanship and expertise, NANGA has continued to grow for over three decades. Today, that legacy lives on in outdoor gear and apparel designed for the harshest environments, and our down products have found their way to customers around the world. ※ The services and support described on this page are available only in Japan.
By operating our own factory and managing every stage in Japan, from planning and production to shipping and after-sales support, we can accommodate small production runs, fine-tune product specifications, recommend the most suitable down products for each intended use, and design products with long-term repairability and maintenance in mind. This integrated approach allows us to respond flexibly to our customers' needs and helps ensure that our products can be used with confidence for years to come.

Our membership program is designed to provide reliable, long-term support after purchase. Members receive a variety of updates, including event announcements and product information.
Down Product Collection Service
To help keep limited resources in circulation, we collect down products that are no longer in use, then clean and refine them to give them new life.
Repair Service
We repair tears, frayed seams, damaged components, and other issues to help keep products in use for years to come.
Cleaning Service
We offer cleaning services for sleeping bags. Using specialized processes backed by our expertise in down products, we remove dirt and stains while preserving their original performance, restoring them to a clean and comfortable condition.
Re:ACT
Through NANGA's unique repurposing process, we give down products new life by transforming them for new uses, such as turning down duvets into down jackets or sleeping bags. We also promote SONAEBAG, an initiative inspired by the concept of “disaster preparedness × sleep,” offering preparedness solutions for both everyday life and emergencies.
Repair, down refill, and related services are available only for down products. Please note that apparel products are not eligible for these services.
